Musician and composer Dave Bartholomew died 23 June 2019 at age 100. He wrote/cowrote, among many songs, "I Hear You Knockin" recorded by Smiley Lewis and by Dave Edmunds, Fats Domino's hit "Ain't That A Shame," and Chuck Berry's "My Ding A Ling." Rest in peace.

Sad times for New Orleans, losing Mac Rebennack/Dr John and now Dave Bartholomew. You see Bartholomew's name on the credits of so many great songs.
