One of my favorite jazzers of all time. Maybe THE favorite. The sound worlds this guy created for ECM especially in the 1970's and 80's are incredibly unique and engaging. Vintage footage is much appreciated. Interesting that the reed player here is Charles Mariano as opposed to Jan Garbarek who was the studio player for these songs. Jan Garbarek is also an incredibly prolific composer and player. I'm less familiar with Mariano.
Good stuff. Live Jazz Lounge has a few more of his 70s bootlegs for download:

Unfortunately it's all lossy, but maybe one day someone will reach the source tapes and compile a nice live box.
As far as I'm aware, it was always Mariano playing that material, except for the instances where the Garbarek Group played a Weber piece, or special one-off editions of Colours featured Garbarek rather than Mariano, or the more "recent" EW retrospective concerts, but those were rare exceptions.

His ECM release, Stages Of A Long Journey, is a favorite. Features a great selection of tunes beautifully recorded.
My favorite bass player in any genre. Incredible musician. His ECM albums both as a leader and as a player (like Burton's Passengers album) up through Later that Evening are on regular rotation in my house and have been forever it seems. I started with Yellow Fields in college and it remains my favorite. I also love his later work like Endless Days. His collaborations with Ralph Towner and Jan Garbarek are also pretty great.
edit: reading the thread I see my post from 2019 lol. Not much has changed!
For those interested, Weber's autobiography which was published in German in 2015 is now available in English translation:
