Diamond Meadows - Live Session
Oh my, simply gorgeous. That is THE Ant magic.
Kamsahamnida!
Should appeal to "all those who still champion the "old-fashioned" ideals of beauty, lyricism and grandeur in art against the tide of cynical intellectualism and dissonance."
We'll soon find out how that sounds in 5.1.
My pleasure! It brings tears to my eyes to watch and listen to Any play one of his beautiful compositions on 12-string guitar. I hope we get a lot more of these videos.
Very nice. Cool to watch him smile at points in the performance. Some great chords that are typically Ant!
Anyone get their copy yet? Release date was the 25th, but mine hasn't arrived yet.
Whoa! I completely forgot to pre-order this one.
Thanks for the reminder, fellas!
Received my copy today. Classic Anthony Phillips guitar. I really like it. Quite a beautiful album IMO.
Received my copy too. Yes very nice so far. I'm midway through the first disc.
I think mine arrived yesterday but somehow managed to not open it in the hubbub of Halloween.
Anyway...Happy November. Here is a perfect piece for the month, it is named "Una dia de Noviembre." It is lovely and has a bit of an Ant feel to it.

It's a good one. There is some particularly nice throwback stuff on the 2nd disc.
More superb video of Ant playing 12-string tunes from his latest release Strings of Light:
This thread started with the Rocking Horse Music Club as original subject. I'm glad I finally received their album Which Way The Wind Blows - The Music Of Anthony Phillips.
Very well done, by great musicians, some of you might know from Tristan Park.

(sounds a bit like Bread, doesn't it):
My wife got some shaky video of Noel McCalla signing with the Rocking Horse Music Club on Saturday night. He can still sing!
Here's an interesting article, part 1 of a 4-parter, that gives an overview of the man's work from one listener's perspective.
