Just a reminder to anyone who is a Nektar fan. The Kickstarter campaign to help fund the new album The Other Side and live show at ProgStock 19 only has 14 days left to meet their goal.
The band is just under $7000.00USD short of meeting the $28,000 goal to meet the goal.
Please, if you love this band, it's legacy and share in the excitement of getting a new album with many of the original members, please pledge something.
Even if it's $25 dollars for the CD(which is a little more than a good case of beer in the US).
I've pledged for the vinyl version, but lots of choices to choose from on the Kickstarter page.
Please help them make their goal, these guys are sacrificing a lot to bring us new music that is filled with passion and that good ol Nektar vibe you don't hear anywhere else.
    Thank you
    TC

Very nice, Mo. Without question, I'm in!

Gosh, I wish you guys received the recognition & acclaim you richly deserved. But, we can only live for today & the future...

Rajazz, the link I provided goes directly to the webcast site, it's not necessary for you to go to Facebook.

I am Facebook impaired too after reading the user agreement in light of the data collection they've been up to in recent years. Now I just call my mom when I need an update or text my friends.
I am really looking forward to this release. I've always enjoyed Nektar but haven't heard much of the band by way of live material.

You're right, there's one missing on the main page.
But the shop page works, and that will be where the Anthology set will be on sale next week.

More than one. Their logo is missing, too.

thanks Ron, I'll let Mo know on Facebook. He's been so busy doing multiple interviews and preparing for Progstock next week they probably didn't even notice.

Yeah, if you're doing your own website or going cheap with whom you hire, this kinda stuff happens. But, there are usually bigger problems on the back end that novices don't even consider. Even if you don't go cheap, there are a lot of butchers out there who charge serious money. I've polished a few website turds in my day.

Didn't see this on the Nektar website, and I've checked several times. I guess there has been a delay?

Amazon still said November 1 yesterday. I would like to try and buy it directly from their site if possible. Lots of good live material from the 70s that I’m excited to hear.

Here's the preview of a 1974 live cut:

BTW, wasn't the first volume supposed to cover the earliest period?

Listening to disc 1 of the 6/12/1974 show as I type this. It sounds really, really good, IMO. It's a board recording and while there are a few tape anomalies here and there, this would undoubtedly get an A+ rating if released on one of those sites like Dimeadozen. The performance is fantastic too. I've still got lots more to get through but I hope that there are other vintage live releases imminent.

Great to hear that the quality is good. Mine has been ordered just waiting for shipment. No rush the Nektar family is quite busy now I would imagine.

    Very excited to hear this.

Received this about a week ago and anybody who loves Nektar should get this. High Sound quality. I like the mix of the band better than the live in New York album.

Some of the best live versions of many of their songs. Roye is in top form singing and playing guitar and the band is just smoking tight behind him. Excellent background vocals in remember the future part one, a live version of the Little Boy with the entire band and much more. I highly recommend this to anyone who has enjoyed Nektar live, you won’t be disappointed.

Great Christmas treat, And now I’m wondering what is on the Other Side.
