Renaissance-- Ashes Are Burning 50th Tour

Not listed on their site yet, but happening in the fall. City Winery Boston lists a date on October 18. Looking forward. (Seems to tie in with the anniversary of the band, not the album).

The Egg, wow, thanks for the tip. Tix already on sale, The Egg apparently neglected to give early notice to their members, grrr, not the first time they've so neglected.

    Right?

Not enough crowd support to do anything other than lose money in other parts of the country, sadly.

They would easily sell out Yoshi's Oakland for two shows.

I remember a show at the Park West, maybe with Steve Hackett. Full house, IIRC

The crowd support would be there in plenty of cities. It's probably a matter of travel costs plus the willingness to deal with a real tour. Annie may be done with all that.
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

Where did you see that? It's not on their touring page. Probably not with orchestra in any event, not sure that could work at Ram's Head.

Has it been mentioned that they are doing an anniversary BD/DVD/2CD set via Indiegogo? Not too surprising. I’m in for the $30 set.

Brief glimpse at the orchestrations by pianist Rave Tesar (the band is touring with the 10-piece orchestra again, with Joe Deninzon as concertmaster):
