Some Syth-Pop/Wave coming soon from Cherry Red

Guilty pleasure time. Cherry Red has a Box/book of obscure and not-so-obscure synth-wave in the works, covering the UK in the years 1978-1984. Should be fondle-worthy, if that's your sort of thing. A few familiar names on it as well.

They're also doing the complete 80s output of Fiat Lux. First time on CD, if I'm not mistaken.

Both are up for pre-order now.

Thanks for the tip. Passed to a friend of mine who will love this.

I decided to spring for both of the above, belated birthday gift to myself. Fun listening ahead!

Yeah, it was kind of a no brainer for me. I wonder how they sourced all of that obscure private stuff for the box. We shall see...

I wouldn't be surprised Wes Holley is involved. He's working for Cherry Red and I know he has an impressive amount of 80's stuff, often (re)mastered by himself.

Got the Fiat Lux in the mail yesterday. It's quite nice, looking forward to a deep dive in the next few days

My book set arrived today. Outside the jiffy bag. Somehow the empty package and the book/set both made it. The postal service has become a real crap shoot.

According to Wes on Fiat Lux: "Sounds like they got the master tapes for that one but you never know! I haven't worked with them in years."

Arround the same time I bought the Fiat Lux, I couldn't resist to buy the double-disc re-release of https://www.alphaville.info/'s Forever Young.

    NOT this one though: https://www.rhino.com/article/out-no...-forever-young

Some great tracks from rare 7" and cassettes on the Box/book.

I got the set in the mail late last week...beautiful package, it's going to take a while to absorb all the tracks. But halfway through the first disc, already finding some winners.

So funny...growing up I couldn't stand stuff like this. In retrospect, it's been a huge dose of fun (re)discovering this stuff.
