Highly recommend checking out the Robert Glasper Experiment, lead of course by Glasper who is also in R+R
In fact, most names from R+R have their own solo projects that are very much jazz rock-fusion inspired so you should look into them if you haven't!
There is also Yussef Kamaal from the UK, which is probably the best jazz fusion record to come out in the past few years
Again the individuals here Yussef Dayes and Kamaal Williams are worth looking into for their ongoing and solo projects
Flying Lotus - You're Dead is a modern jazz-rock electronic-hip-hop fusion masterpiece
^^Thanks!

John Carroll Kirby's 'Septet' is seemingly designed specifically to evoke 70s jazz funk / fusion, even the artwork looks of the era!

A slightly different vibe, but worth raising here:
This may or may not be to your taste, but I fucking love these guys, they make some thrilling noise.
I saw Simon Phillips and Protocol a few years back and thought they were heavily channelling 70s fusion.
(Hell, the studio in the video even has tape machines rolling...)
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.
The Comet Is Coming are incredible. I’ve got a few of their albums (on CD and vinyl), and they all deliver. Would love to see them in concert one day.

Just stumbled upon this Spanish band: Aurora Clara. One album to date. Here is the first track of "Transformation". A certain Jerry Goodman is an honored guest:
Michael Varekamp & Jerome Hol: Elektra (new album): "Hendrix meets Davis"
Agree with Glaspar:
But boy, if you go back to the 70s, you have Eddie Henderson, Julian Priester, Herbie Hancock and many more that sound similar.
I'm not lazy. I just work so fast I'm always done.
Lots of good ones above... this one hits a Mwandishi vein too.
