Well, yeah, but I find it interesting that the drummer gets reduced to being a tambourine player, to accommodate the backup musicians. But I suppose it would be kinda ridiculous to expect someone like Gordon or Hawkwins to go on tour, just to play on the one or two songs that Capaldi sang on. And with Rebop Kwaku Baah on board, that pretty much took care of the ancillary percussion requirements. So it would seem Capaldi was effectively demoted to being a backing musician, except for the songs where he sang lead vocal (and I believe there's only two of them during that era).
