    Progday wishlish

So, now that Progday's website has been updated to inform us that they are working on this years event (yay!), I thought I would throw this out there for everyone's entertainment...

what's your top 3 wish list for this year's bash?
some ground rules, if you please:

    1. appropriate style (ie, let's not have anyone suggest lynyrd skynyrd)
    2. reasonable cost - this is, at least for me, a guess. but I'm not going to suggest Camel - as much as I would love to see them
    3. the musician/band still plays live (even if only occasionally)
    4. (bonus rule) a musician/band that you have not seen live before (which is why I will not be suggesting Ronin - as much as I would love to see them again)

Seems only fair that I go first...so, in no particular order

    1. Slapp Happy and/or Peter Blegvad
    2. Manuel Gottsching
    3. Dave Stewart/Barbara Gaskin

    May the fun begin!!

    Ken

ps - can a mod please fix the typo in the subject? it was supposed to be wishlist

And one of mine was a joke anyway so I'm at peace with it

    ...and once again! ~

Chewed on my thoughts for a bit and here's mine:

Troot, BuBu, and I'll second Mr. Carrs suggestion of Rabbit Rabbit (anything with Carla Kihlstedt)

Oh!... how about considering Monika Roscher and her big band?? Just in case one of the other three falls through

    p.s.
It's been 11 years; they could consider having CHEER-ACCIDENT again. They've done a lot of good work since they were there.

    1. That my health is still good enough to allow me to be there
    2. That my Chicago friend decides to attend & drives again this year (those days of long driving as well as the nightmare of airports is in my rear view mirror)
    3. That if we go, it is a safe uneventful trip both ways

At this point in my life I truly could not give a flying f*** who Michael books, because I know I'll love at least half of it, and have no problem occupying my time when it's not my cuppa chatting with other good, old (not necessarily chronologically) friends.

Discipline are totally great, but they have played ProgDay more than anybody else.

It’s time for another 10 year break. IMO. YMMV.
