It was a good show. Most of the set list was taken from Stand Up, and outside of a half-dozen outliers, the rest of the show was filled up with material from Aqualung or earlier.
While some might gripe about a "blues gulag," it was a kick-ass show. I always really liked the early phases of Tull, so it pleased me immensely: "Teacher," "A New Day Yesterday," "Nothing is Easy," "A Song for Jeffery." Oh there was more, of course, but those would be on my playlist of favorite Tulls.
Martin talked about how the band is going to expand into an eight-piece for the East Coast tour, including Dee Palmer, and Glenn Cornick, and how he planned to bring that band to the West Coast in 2020.
Also, Martin was clearly having fun up there. It was a bit hard to accept I was in spitting distance of the guy who is an absolute legend in my mind.
Go, Tull fan, go!
