The Chiefs have a healthy Hommie and fast receivers. Hommie will make the win happen. SF is overrated like the NFC in recent years has been.

I’d like to see leagues, conferences and divisions go away. Just rack and stack the teams at the beginning of the year and establish a baseline ranking, and make each team play an equal distribution wrt to the baseline.

This is a hard game to pick. I think the Niners defense is equivalent to the Chiefs offense. They held the Ravens offense to twenty points. I think the Niners offense is better than the Chiefs defense. I think the Niners may have the edge barring no mistakes or turnovers.

So would I, sort of. Just have an Eastern and Western Conference like the NBA and two divisions in each conference.

I think it's a really interesting and fun Superbowl. I've got nothing against either of the two teams, the 49ers were always my NFC team, but have been irrelevant for so long I'd sort of forgotten about them. I like the Chiefs too, hope it's a good game! I feel the 49ers are a slightly better team so I pick them to win, but could see it going either way.

Well, they did go to a Superbowl in 2012. They were very competitive for a couple of years before that and a couple of years after (back-to-back conference title games).

Quite so, forgot about that. I think we were away and didn't watch that Superbowl. But you're right, they had some good teams in that period!

You have to give Lynch full marks. I was one who scratched his head when he was named GM a few years back but he has built a solid team in a short time.

A much maligned and underappreciated QB in my opinion. Just because he's not flashy or an attention whore his achievements get scrutinized or devalued. Get him to the playoffs and he was straight cash. If Tom Brady is the G.O.A.T, all Eli did was snatch two rings from his grasp and put them on his own finger.

    Happy retirement Easy Ely.

The Hollywood (Florida) Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Antonio Brown following allegations that he and his trainer attacked a moving company truck driver near Brown's Florida home.

I’ve got no axe to grind. I like Eli enough, but isn’t that his job, to get the team to the playoffs? I know there’s a lot of factors that make a team, but shouldn’t the elite QBs get their teams to the playoffs?

And if two Super Bowls equals automatic QB HOFer, then Plunkett would be in. (And perhaps he should be.)

Who was the better QB, Eli Manning or Phillip Rivers? Forever linked, only one went to or won a Super Bowl. Which would you have rather had?

As a fan of the team that was at the heart of this "controversary" I would have been happy with either one. Obviously, if a guy doesn't want to play for the team, having him would be bad, but from a on the field perspective they both are cut from the same cloth it seems. Aside from the temperament, they've both been durable as hell (although I would consider rivers tougher, if for no other reasons playing with a torn ACL that one year), they both can fling it (sometimes to their own detriment), they are both pocket guys, and they both are franchise cornerstones that any team should love to have had, especially for this long.

I would probably give the edge to Eli as he seems to have done more heavy lifting (at least during the 2011 season, the giants certainly would not have won the superbowl that year without him) and has played with less greats (at least on the offensive side of the ball). People seem to value SB wins over everything else too (though I'm not in the camp) which Eli has the obvious edge in.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.
