^ Reports are saying that they wanted him to take a "fairly sizeable pay cut" for the 13M he was scheduled to earn this year before getting cut. One article I read pegged it at about 8mil for a one year contract.

I have to imagine the more money and the chance to play TB twice a year made it an easy choice for him.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Authorities said two female acquaintances vanished with more than half a million dollars in jewelry from star NFL running back Le'Veon Bell's Florida home.

Hollywood police said Bell returned from the gym May 25 and found the women gone and his jewelry missing. The police report obtained by The Associated Press refers to the two women as Bell's girlfriends.

Bell said items in his closet were in disarray and all his jewelry was missing, including two gold chains with diamonds, a black panther pendant with black and white diamonds and a Rolex watch. The combined value of the items totals $520,000.

    Police said they are investigating.

I think everyone here in Charlotte is very happy with this signing. Panthers are moving to a 3-4 hybrid look (I guess this means ends/OLBs moving freely between having a hand down or not), and McCoy should command a lot double teams in the middle.

Of course this signing doesn’t fix Newton’s shoulder ...

The best part is that now the Cowboys will sign Dak to even more stupid money.

Raiders on Hard Knocks this year. Don't have HBO and not sure if NFL Network picks this up. I'd be curious of course...

Yes, CFL is on. Montreal already looking like shit. Gonna be another long season. If they don't find new ownership, it may be the last season in Montreal.

Yves, how would you feel about the NFL expanding into Canada, and absorbing a couple of CFL teams?

You asking based on a story you read somewhere or just in general? I think if the NFL wants to move into Canada there is probably nothing the CFL can do to stop it. However, the NFL will not expand beyond 32 teams so it would have to be franchises moving. Toronto would be the only viable place for this imo...

I think the CFL would continue rolling on, even without a team in Toronto. It's an older league than the NFL.

Just in general. I think it would be a good idea. I'm not saying absorb the whole CFL, just 2 teams. I mean you've got MLB, NBA, and NHL, and it seems like the CFL is on the verge of folding whenever it's mentioned.

CFL is a small league but it's not on the verge of folding. Montreal is having an issue finding a buyer, but in general the league does OK. Every single game is broadcast across the country and that helps. No CFL team could ever compete in the NFL. I believe the highest salary in the CFL is around $300,000.00 per season. It's a bush league, not a bone fide North American sports league like the ones you mentioned.

The Rams sucked in the super bowl, mostly because of the lack of pass interference calls against the Patriots. But they shouldn't even have been in the super bowl,as well as the Patriots.
