    See any similarity?
I like that Dak made the first list and not the 2nd

Winston was obviously pushing it way too hard

Seahawks are only 2 point favorites so idk how much of an upset that would be. They finished the year with a point differential of +7. Despite winning a bunch of nationally televised games in spectacular fashion, the Seahawks are...not all that good

lotta the Brady/Belichick talk on here reminds me of when Jimmy G got traded and how that was apparently evidence of some unsolvable rift between the two. they won the Super Bowl that year. fwiw I don't see the Pats doing too much in the playoffs this year but I'm still gonna bet big on them beating the Titans at home. can't see them getting past the Chiefs or Ravens though

It seems boring, but I'm going to go with all the favorites.

    Bills -21
    Texans -27
Both teams seem somewhat unpredictable, but the Texans seem a little more put together.

    Titans -20
    Patriots -27
Until they lose, never vote against the Pats. That said, the Titans are playing better in the 2nd half than the 1st.

    Vikings -17
    Saints -38
New Orleans looks locked in. This feels like the runaway game of the week (which means it won't be lol).

    Eagles -10
    Seahawks -24
The Eagles won their last 4, but they were all against NFC Least opponents. I think they have beaten one winning team all year.

FWIW, I feel like the Ravens are the class of the NFL right now. I can't explain why except that some sort of collusion or conspiracy has taken place. It's hard to bet against them vs. just about any team in the playoffs except for their lack of experience as a group. This may hurt them (ultimately) compared to the teams with established leaders such as Rodgers, Brees, Wilson, and Brady. Here is how I would tier them:

    1. Ravens, Saints, Packers
    2. Chiefs, 49ers, Patriots
    3. Seahawks, Texans, Bills
    4. Titans, Vikings, Eagles

Seahawks/Eagles game is going to be a lot closer than some people think. Yeah, the Eagles are a walking MASH unit but the Seahawks have had closer games with worse teams this year and lost three of their last 4 games, one of them being to a dreadful Cardinals team.

I'd flip the packers and chiefs, move the seahawks to the second tier, and the titans to the third.

As far as predictions for this weekend, Ill go with these:

    Texans
    Pats
    Saints
    Hawks

Bills, Titans, and Eagles could all make the games close and could well win, but my gut says they wont.

As far as tiers of quality teams, I'd go this way:

    1. Ravens, Saints, 49ers
    2. Packers, Chiefs
    3. Patriots, Seahawks, Vikings, Texans
    4. Bills, Titans, Eagles

Eagles and Seahawks I'm discounting a bit due to their injuries.

Sad news. He was a good coach. Got the Bengals to within one drive of winning a SB.

    RIP

Looks like Jason Garrett is finally out in Dallas. Took long enough.

Will the Cowboys go after Greg Roman. The teams seem to be built very similar other than their ability to win games.

The Vikings tanked their game against the Bears to rest their starters. On Sunday, the football gods will wreak havoc in retaliation. Saints by at least three TDs.

I honestly thought they'd just let his contract expire. It was due in mid January. I know the Cowboys are one of the glamour teams of the NFL but who steps into that job with JJ as an owner?

The Cowboys need someone with a proven track record as a head coach in the NFL, someone with clout and the status to not let Jones be the distraction he likes to make of himself. To me, Mike McCarthy is the #1 candidate who is not currently employed, and I think he'd be a good fit the way the cowboys are built. Would he take the job? I have no idea, but if Jones wasn't such an a-hole it's one of the more attractive jobs in the NFL.

I could see Jones making a run at Sean Payton or even Belichick, but there are a lot of "if's" around doing that, and it would be costly. If they can't get McCarthy, they'll have to settle for an assistant. McDaniels might be a good bet as he's at least cut his teeth once as a head coach and hopefully has learned. But honestly, I don't think any of the current crop of assistants will do much better than Garrett, either with the team, or Jones. I think they'd be nuts to go with a college guy.

I'm not a big Cowboys fan, so their futility has been amusing to me. However, I actually like a lot of their players and respect the way they've gone about their most recent rebuild. The team clearly lacks direction, not talent, and I think Garrett has lost the room. McCarthy would get their attention and could really be the missing element for this group of players. I don't see anyone else out there who is available who would better fit the bill.
