Have to be honest, this doesn't interest me that much, as I found UK to be a pale shadow of themselves sans Holdsworth and Bruford. What I would REALLY like, assuming there's any available, would be a similar extended live show by the original line-up, with decent sound quality and whatever film footage might be available (assuming there's any at all). Now THAT would be a true 'take my money!!' moment...

This is pretty much where I'm coming from. Much as I loved Wetton and Jobson on the debut, and as much as I appreciated Bozzio's skills, when I found out that, not only had Holdsworth AND Bruford left, but they were going forward as a trio, I was out. If they'd decided to add a guitarist to replace Holdsworth I would have been much more inclined to check into it; wouldn't have mattered if it was a "big name" or not. Obviously, others feel/felt differently.

Billy B has always been my favorite drummer and Alan H is one of my favorite guitarists, so I understand some of what you both say.

    But:
Instead of the glass being empty to me, I saw the changeover to the trio (with Bozzio) as an opportunity to turn a bad situation (the band possibly folding completely) to a fairly good situation (the band continuing with a drummer that I also admired).

Bozzio brings his own magic to the table and the positive side of Alan being gone is Wetton and Jobson get to add a wee bit more to the preceedings.

But whatever floats your boat. Or doesn't.

    Its all good.

I agree with a lot of what you've written here. I'm also a Bill Bruford fan but think Bozzio brought a different level of energy and style to Danger Money and I like it a lot. I think Danger Money would've taken a different direction and sounded quite differently with Bill and Alan onboard.
As you say, their absence allowed Wetton and Jobson to be the centerpiece.

I actually love both albums and recently picked up the UK album remastered on Record Day a year ago. And although I have both albums on cd , to complete my collection I picked up a great vinyl copy of Danger Money as well.
They are completely different albums with UK being a musician's musican type of album, the prog Supergroup with these great players, while UK is a bit more commercial and accessible to mainstream, but I still love it.

Bruford is one of my top 2 drummers (along with Bonham), but I always had a thing for the 3 piece UK. I guess being a bass player, the lack of a guitarist appealed to me. I also think Bruford and Holdsworth were better suited doing Bill's solo stuff.

Having said that, I had a weird thought last weekend when I was binging out on live UK - What if they had gotten Steve Howe and remained a 4 piece? Wetton was already leaning toward ASIA territory. Could have been a helluva band! The timing was ALMOST right for that to have happened. But... then we wouldn't have gotten Drama... OK, I'll shut up now.

We had a great band, and after the breakup we had 2 great bands, was the way I looked at it.
It was only later that I found out about National Health, which changed my outlook somewhat.

Just got an email from Amazon. The Night After Night delivery date was moved out to May, 16, 2019.

I wonder if it is delayed until the lawsuit is settled.

Edit: Nevermind - I see Lasers Edge already has it in stock.

There is no delay. We've been shipping for 2 weeks already.

The band had already written / performed live at least three of the songs that ended up on Danger Money.

This is true, and I much prefer those versions (available on the Concert Classics Vol.4 disc, if you can find it) to those that eventually turned up on Danger Money. A sad reminder of what might have been...

I didn't know that, thanks for the info.
But I'm a little confused, those songs were not on Danger Money the album as recordings with the original lineup, right?

No, and some sections were radically changed from those performed in 1978.

I think those songs sounded pretty rough at that point, and sound more much arranged and fully realized on DM.

This is impossible to find. Amazon had it listed for March 8 and now it says 1-3 months delivery. Nothing on ebay either.
Someone wrote the release date has been pushed back.
Do we have any updated info on when this is being released?

As Ken posted above, lasercd.com has it in stock. I guess Amazon underestimated demand, or just has some kind of supply problem.

We are now sold out. I've been informed that the label is out of stock and this is scheduled for a repress. I have no clue how long that will take but I assume longer than everyone wants.

Thanks to everyone who ordered from lasercd.com

Thanks, I just read his last comment, somehow I missed it earlier.

I guess this is what a label would call a good problem..lol Great to see the demand so high.

Anticipating this issue I just bought it a few days ago from an UK (GB) EBay seller who had 7 pieces in stock (5 currently remaining at the date of writing) but since there was no pictures in the auction listing I would guess they don't actually have it and the sale will be cancelled soon. Hard to believe this set is sold out only a few days after it's release, demand can't be so high. Maybe some legal issues due to the Wetton/Jobson lawsuit ?

If my order yesterday was accepted and payment received, does that mean I made it under the wire?
