So excited. John Mitchell can do no wrong, for my ears.

Lonely Robot just posted this on Facebook: "Pre-order the new Lonely Robot album ‘Under Stars’ on vinyl with CD from Burning Shed and you’ll get a signed postcard. Limited availability!!" Under the text there was a photo of John doing a marathon signing effort.

Anyone out there listening to the new Lonely Robot? I've been listening since last Friday and I think it compares favorably with the first two albums. Anyone else willing to share first impressions? Short reviews?

i just stumbled across this today not knowing anything about them, the whole album is on youtube. I love the big soaring melodies, the Floyd-ish soundscapes and even pop oriented sensibilities. I definitely like this well enough to buy it and dig deeper, great stuff indeed!

I actually bought this and "The Big Dream" at the same time (I wasn't wild about the first one) and so far I like both a lot. "Ancient Ascendant" is still my favorite out of all of it. Compared to Mitchell's work in Kino and It Bites, this stuff's a bit of a grower.
