What's the theme for this season again? I'm hoping this season has more shit-stirrers, but that's just me.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction is the upcoming 38th season of the American competitive reality television series Survivor, to air on CBS. The season will feature 14 new contestants competing with four returning players. It was the seventh season to be filmed in Fiji, and marks the 12th season to feature returning players.

So, we're two weeks in and not comments yet?

Who applies for Survivor before learning how to swim and how to make fire? Those are just basic Survivor skills. If you can't do either, don't apply.

Just the fact that Keith is torn between leaving the game or getting in the boat tells me that he needs to go. Reem didn't even hesitate. That's how you play the game!

I'm annoyed by pretty much everybody in this cast so far

I'm intrigued by this extinction island thing...

I'm still holding out for hope. I also am not too fond of this set of Survivors, but we shall see.

Too early to have favorites, but I do like (I think his name is) David. He's showing a lot more spunk than his first go-around. The trip to the other island at the end with the losers is an interesting twist. I don't know what the black guy was agonizing over it so much--just go!

For those interested, Big Brother Canada starts tonight. I think it makes sense to just continue last season's thread here, http://www.progressiveears.org/forum...111#post886111.

If the contestants who got kicked off aren't forming their own voting pact as a voting weapon to kick off the others, they deserve to loose. Reem is somewhat sharp, but a bit too emotional, Keith is too young and thinks he's sly, but really clueless, the newest guy kicked off, is his name, Chris? has the best chance, I think, of coming out ahead, because at least he can handle the challenges physically. Time will tell.

So, with the tribes merging next episode, I wonder if there will be a challenge between those on the Edge of Extinction island and whoever wins can come back to one of the new tribes.

Three tribes, three evictions. Maybe they all get the chance to return, instead of just one of them.

I do hope that the endgame for extinction island is different than that of redemption island. Aside from the massive (?) trek to get rice, I'm really not seeing a difference between the two twists thus far.

We were talking abou extinction island at dinner tonight. Here's what we decided we wanted to see.

Three new teams (which we know is happening, thanks to the next week on Survivor spoilers). Each time has an individual competition. The loser swaps places with someone from extinction island. I know that won't be it because it extends the game...but it would be fun!

This drives me absolutely insane and why I stay away from previews from next episode. Does anyone like the element of surprise anymore?

Wow. I think that was the most sentimental TC I've ever seen. I was sorry to see Rick go. I love his sense of humour. Hopefully, he gets back in the game.
