If you ask me, pretty wise to nip that penguin S&M porn in the bud, before it can really take off.

It is my opinion that if the tour was simply all those great musicians - and alumni - billed as the "The Bizarre World Of Frank Zappa" and just played the music... kind of a continuation of "Zappa's Universe" it would still be as successful - I believe the fans want to hear the music anyway; ZPZ proved that. And if played by a great selection of the alumni, it will be a hit. No need for the hologram.

That said, that band needs a dedicated keyboard player and a second drummer - I say incorporate Morgan Agren and Mats Oberg - now that band would be complete...

(or pick your keyboardist and drummer - that will be fine- vinnie, terry, tommy mars, peter wolf, eddie jobson, etc - they'll do ! )

Last I read, Bobby Martin is part of this tour. He's a keyboard player, as is Mike Keneally. And other Zappa alumni are scheduled to join as gusts at certain shows. Steve Vai, V. Colaiuta, Nappy Brock, etc...

Indeed - as per the site, the no dedicated keyboard player listed - I know Bobby Martin plays keys - but since also no brass or woodwind players are listed he is gonna be busy with that. BUT - I did not know Mike Keneally also played keys - so he will probably fill in the gaps - that said I rather they had a full time key player plus Bobby.

Dead Frank has found a soul mate. Can a Dead Whitney tour with Dead Frank on lead guitar be far behind? New avenues in crossover Prog!

    Now there's a hologram I wouldn't mind looking at.

That was an awesome post by Thunes. I regret my cynicism now, and wish I had seen this tour. Hopefully there is more to come.
