I really fancied getting the green vinyl special edition, but seems sold out, so will settle for the CD. I really enjoyed the Hogarth collaboration, so am excited to hear this full album collaboration with one of the greats.

A couple of more plays in and I can say that this album is completely awesome. All the super positive reviews are completely justified.

Its not really Isildurs Bane, not really Hammill or VDGG but something pretty unique that stands completely on its own. I expected it to be a quality release but i did not expect it to be this fierce and intense.

I have to let it sink in for a couple of weeks but right now I am considering it to be a carreer highlight for both IB and Hammill. It is THAT good.

I hear what you mean but I think it is done intentional for some 'psychedelic effect'. I actually like it.
Hammill recorded his parts in his own studio at home so it is not likely that the vocals were not recorded properly.

Yes, the more dramatic effects on the vocals were added at the mixing stage by Charles Storm.

Somehow I expected that this collaboration between two of the torchbearers of adventurous prog would create a bit more buzz on this board.

Anyway, I absolutely LOVE this album. It will certainly be in my top 5 or even top 3 of this year. Any other fans?
