This is usually out of my wheelhouse but I really appreciate the insane production and sheer musicality that went into this. Hats off to this guy. The final track "Singularity" is outstanding.
If it isn't Krautrock, it's krap.

^ Glad you’re liking this Frank! I agree about the production and musicality. The track Evermore has some stuff going on that rattled my brain when I hear it, trying to understand what he’s doing. It’s so good!

When I saw Devin fronting Steve Vai's band all those years ago, never did I imagine his career would come to this! He is a remarkably creative musician.

I had to take a break from this album I don't think I listened to anything else in August! It really is pretty awesome and I can't wait to hear this live some day.

Me too!!! Can't wait for the super deluxe edition that Devin's been working on. This is going to sound awesome in 5:1.

Looking forward to seeing you playing with the great man. Be seeing you in London and can't wait.

I have tickets for Dallas in March. Be aware that the lineup is changing between the Europe shows and the NA shows. It is a smaller version.

Do you know who's out? I really want to see them all, but especially Agren, Navarro and Kennealy.

I don't have a news article to point to, but it's circulating widely in his Facebook group with screenshots from his Instagram. It will be a five-piece with Devin, Agren, Kennealy, Navarro, and Diego. So, sounds like you got exactly what you hoped for. The biggest bummer for most people is no Che.

The best compliment I can give is that it requires my full attention more than any other album I have. I intentionally only listen to it when I have a large block of time where I will not be distracted. I don't listen to it in the background while I am doing something else.

    All hail DT

I've been a fan of this guy since the first SYL album.

As far as Empath is concerned, the sheer density of it will take months or years to really sink in. I'm still finding new angles on Ocean Machine FFS.

DUDE, no question. I live for long road trips just for this reason alone.

You simply must try out Ocean Machine, IMO.

If you like it crushingly heavy AF & at a blistering speed, check out Strapping Young Lad's City album.

For a more humorous bent on the metal genre, the Ziltoid albums are a caffeinated blast.

He also has a ton of great ambient and easier on the ears stuff, but I'm still getting through what I have now.

100%...'Ocean Machine' is what did it for me and been on the Dev train ever since. I highly recommend checkin out some of his live performances like Plovdiv or Royal Albert Hall...they are just incredible. The dude is a master at his craft.

I'll be seeing the show tonight in Brooklyn and can't friggin wait!!

NICE! The show last night in Brooklyn was a blast. Not much visually as all the money was spent on sound, but these guys smoke. They seem to be having such a blast playing together. And Che is a vision

    Here's a snippet of a beast...

I am not a phone up guy, but wanted to catch the vibe here and there. I'm surprised I held the phone as long as I did here without flinging it across the room while throwing a fist in the air
