I have Au Zulo from 2007 - a ripe peach of an album - but I didn’t know they had something new. Good news from the fast rabbits!

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

^ I've got Bull and I have to say that while it's interesting and even amusing in places, it doesn't really scratch my itch. Neither as dark and full of force as UZero, as absurdist as Julverne or Debile Ménthol or as pittoresque and serene as Noëtra or Flairck, I always thought Cro Magnon were missing something. But that's just me, man.

I just ordered the CD without actually having listened to any of it.

If it isn't Krautrock, it's krap.

It's great and you will like it. Unfortunately I did not find any download format so I listen to this on evil Spotify.

In passing (and you probably know this anyway) James Galway actually played on a fairly experimental prog album, Between's Einstieg in 1971.

That was before he became a complete tosser, of course.

Peter Michael Hamel's small ensemble, yes. They're huge in prog circles - practically enormous. It's the same genre as that first Asia record.

FWIW, I always found Einstieg a more rewarding listen than the followup, And the Waters Opened, which tends to be held in higher regard as it's arguably more of a "generic" kraut-album - if that term applies at all in this case. Of particular interest are some stretched-out free improvisations, akin to the Third Ear Band encountering early Pink Floyd.
