    I'm right here.

And I'm not seeing anything that I didn't predict 10 days ago:

The Yankees' record was somewhat fake, because, until last week, they had one of the 3 or 4 easiest schedules in the league. They stepped up in class and - over the last 6 games against good teams who can hit - have been absolutely bludgeoned. The two wins in Minnesota were both just lucky breaks in games they should have lost.

I still think they have a better than 50% chance to win the division, but it would not be a great surprise to me if they don't. They are a very good team, but not quite on the same level as Houston, LA and Minnesota. They're about as good as Boston, and Boston has the opportunity to make up some games in head-to-head plus the Yankees very difficult schedule until mid-August. The Sox still have a very realistic chance to win the division.

    The Mets just acquired Stroman?

Do you even look at the standings?

    Home 38-17
    Road 28-21
    >.500 teams 32-20
    Intra-division 34-14

Nobody expected them to keep up their pace all season, but, aside from the last eight games, they still did. No team has had to overcome the injuries this one has (with four more this week to starters). So, of course the injuries will, sooner or later catch up with them. Everybody expected their starting pitching to be their biggest question mark and the one thing that derails them.

    Everybody saw this.

LOL. I'm actually pretty great at baseball evaluation, and sports evaluation in general. Your continued disagreements with me indicate that you, in particular, are not.

    You spelled "grate" wrong.

Can't wait for Robo ump to start calling balls and strikes. Not that it really matters but the ump's made up strike zone probably cost the O's a four game sweep of the Angels.

Maybe they’ll deal Stroman as part of a package? A slow-moving three-team trade?

I was wondering the same thing. But, perhaps they simply expect to move Noah Syndergaard and need to make it up for it.

Looks like Puig's first few games with his new team will be under suspension.

Zach Greinke to the Astros at the deadline. Wow! He's their #3 starter.

Yanks and Red Sox do pretty much nothing.

The Braves ‘pen nearly coughs up two games against the Nats, and management completely remakes it. Hopefully this is what the team needs to compete in October.

ESPN spooged over the Braves acquisitions.

Houston is now the team in the AL.

They were already the best team - now it's by a bit of a margin.

Oh yeah. Even if the Braves manage to get by the Dodgers, they’d be killed by the Astros. That rotation is ridiculous.

Short playoff series are the great leveler. The best baseball teams usually don't win the World Series.
    .

The Braves have only a slightly worse chance of winning the WS (assuming they win the division) than the Dodgers.

Precisely why the first round of the playoffs should be seven games instead of five.
