Anyone get this one? How is it?

Did you get to see 'La voce Stratos', the 107 min. "official" documentary on Demetrio S. from 2009? It's highly acclaimed and indeed very watchable, although predominantly academic in nature. In other words, a bit of a preach to the already converted

There was also 'Suonare la voce', a different TV feature on his abilities, from Italy sometime in the late 70s. And then there was this:

I am currently reading, and will add to the list, All Gates Open: The Story of Can.

It's really two books in one. The first half is a chronological history with lots of quotes from band members written by Rob Young. The second half is interviews and chats with Irmin Schmidt and a variety of other artists. Very cool.

Edward McCann - Rocking The Classics
Paul Stump - The Music Is All That Matters

I have both and recall the former was the easier read, I do have Stump’s Gentle Giant book too, which I enjoyed.

Edward McCann - Rocking The Classics
Paul Stump - The Music Is All That Matters

I have both and recall the former was the easier read, I do have Stump’s Gentle Giant book too, which I enjoyed.

Macan's "Rocking the Classics" remains for me the best book on the field.
