Just discovered this great band. Somehow the album showed up in my You Tube channel feed.
I have the cd Gold Edition on order and it's on the way in time for Christmas delivery. This is the newer release and includes 8 bonus songs.
I did a search here before posting and did find some members here who are fans, so thought I'd share the information regarding a live show coming in 2019.

There is also a copy of the Golden Edition 2LP set on ebay from the UK right now.
This release is on the Green Tree label which I believe Robert is involved with, and it's my understanding he was also involved in this re-issue.
I've read some places it's remastered but cannot verify that.

I would be interested in seeing this if it happens, I don’t know of this festival though. Garden Shed was such an elusive CD and ledgendary on PE back in the day, some kind soul sent me a CD-R of it and also one of Jubblies in those pre-streaming disc-swapping times. I will be up for acquiring a bonus track version now though, it is a great album that arrived too late to make the impact it deserved.

Box of Circles is the new album. I haven't got it yet, but tracks appeared on The Golden Edition of Garden Shed ^^ and Robert Webb's soloalbum.
I think it's a far lesser symphonic album than their 70s output.

I didn't listen to Garden Shed until a year or two ago, when I picked up this golden edition double CD version. Good stuff. Interesting they will be performing. Wonder who is in the lineup now.

The band will be performing the major pieces from the legendary GARDEN SHED album in a new 8-piece line up. The original members, Robert Webb, Frank Holland and Martin Henderson will be accompanied by special musicians; Mike Morton, Dave Lloyd and Gabry Baldocci (of The Gift), and with Jordan Brown (bass player, London) and Russ Wilson (drummer with The Book of Genesis).
The venue only seats 500, so early booking is recommended.

I wonder if Jonny Gee is related to Peter Gee (Bass in Pendragon)

Six or seven years ago we spent a week in London and the hotel we stayed at had a room-service breakfast every morning. They included little containers of the Golden Shred marmalade that the band's artwork was based on. They gave us way more than we needed, so I started hoarding the stuff, and we came home with a huge bag full of them. I just thought it was cool - prog marmalade.

Well... I'm not sure I should even be posting this, but I never really got into Garden Shed. I bought one of the reissues back in 2008, listened a few times, but it didn't grab me. I'm not sure why... Eventually I sold it.

However -- I think it's great that they are going to be playing live after so many years. It's very cool, and I applaud the band members for doing so.

Also, I've heard some of Robert Webb's work with The Samurai of Prog and enjoyed that, so maybe it was just the time in my life when I first heard Garden Shed that led to it not gelling for some reason. I dunno, maybe it's just me.

There are plenty of bands people rave about here that I just can't get into. From reading your posts, I think you have a very wide range of music you listen to, so to not connect with one album or band is not unusual.

I was trying to find a copy of England's The Imperial Hotel, and it's impossible as far as I know, but I did discover The Samurai of Prog's The Imperial Hotel with guest Robert Webb performing on.
After listening to various samples of the Samurai of Prog on Amazon and YT, I have to say I am now a fan, and will begin purchasing their catalog beginning with The Imperial Hotel. What a great band, how did I miss them?

Thanks for the heads up, I just pre-ordered it from the bands web site Total impulse buy, as I've never heard them. However, I've seen many recommendations for them over the years, so this seems like a great way to get started on their catalog.

They have a live album recorded in Japan called KIKIMIMI, which includes Imperial Hotel, highly recommended if it's not included in the box set. In the meantime...a photo of my original vinyl of GARDEN SHED, in immaculate condition.

I think there's a misunderstanding here: there's no box set from England, but from Samurai Of Prog. The Golden Edition of Garden Shed is just a double-album.
The live-recording Live In Japan: Kikimimi contains a concert from 2006, when England was re-united for the first time.
Although a fine CD, the live-quality isn't quite what you expect after hearing the studio-album Garden Shed. I believe there was a lot of technical problems during the gig.

I remember having discovered England around the mid-seventies but their albums were only available as imports and Garden Shed was the finest. They were from the same school as The Enid and never heard back from them a decade later.

I bought the special Edition at Progstock last October but had already found the single CD at a Sacramento store and the second album on Wayside records (the one with the pound bill cover but very inferior to Garden shed) but this one had the 8 bonus tracks, nothing spectacular but always nice to hear they are back and will play live, maybe they can make it to Progstock 2019!

Yes, the "other" England is a really good LP. Very proto-prog. I'm surprised it's from '76!
