A taster for the forthcoming live album is now up on Bandcamp. It's showing an August release. For reasons unknown, I was not able to embed this.

Thanks. Wonder if this will contain old live-recordings from Japan or new ones.
Maybe the embedding doesn't work when it's one track; there was some general info somewhere on this subject, but can't find it.

Thanks for sharing, and yes I believe interbellum is correct, single tracks won't embed here.

I assume The Concerts in Japan will be something like a compilation live-album. I've just checked the Midnight Madness-version from Kikimimi-Live In Japan (also 6:46) and I think this is from the same concert. But the new version on Bandcamp sounds a lot better (mix, vocals, production) so there might have been some "reparations" here and there. The Moog after 4:35 isn't on the Kikimimi-CD for instance.

CD release of a show from ‘06:

Hoping a US shop decides to stock this.

Thanks for posting this, I recalled coming across this while browsing YouTube one day.
Scroll down in the comments section and you'll see Robert Webb commented on the show.

The German store appears to be the only place to get a physical copy.

Like I wrote before in post #55 the new remixed version of Midnigh Madness sounds so much better, so I'm very happy for this new one.

I think they are the same recording (from the same day), but the new one is very much doctored with, e.g the completely different part around 4:10 with new vocals and the Minimoog which was absent from the japan version.

I listened to the original version a number of years back, and this one sounds like it's the same performance but with certain parts "fixed," which is nothing new in the annals of so-called "live" albums, actually. That said, I have no doubt that it will be a very enjoyable listening experience.

I hate the idea of post-show doctoring of live gigs, so much so that I may pass on this. (And yes, I have a ton of doctored live albums by other bands.)

Please be aware that the guy behind numusi.de is the king of Prog lable pirates. He is behind Paisley Press, Second Harvest and a whole number
of further pirate labels (mostly Prog related).

So Paisley Press is a pirate label? Saw the Lethe album on that label at Amazon.de, but alas it can't be delivered to the Netherlands, something I always consider annoying. Luckily I have the vinyl.

Yes Paisley Press is a total pirate. Some of his other labels like Green Tree and TLC are in a grey zone as a few releases on these lables might be legit.
He has countless other pirate labels like O-Music etc.

I received this message from the England Bandcamp:

Yippee! The double CD digipak of 'The Concerts in Japan' is now available on NuMusi.de.
Bernd Brunn, the shop & website owner has just informed me that it's advertised under 'new releases'. You should be able to buy it here (please let me know of any problems): numusi.de/collections/new-releases-2/products/england-the-concerts-in-japan
With love and best wishes, R
PS My copies haven't arrived yet...

That doesn’t mean that there isn’t some gray area here, but I guess the band is involved (?).

Indeed, the band (Robert Webb) is involved. I received the double-CD yesterday and it sounds so much better (and longer!) than the original CD.
The artwork is by Ed Unitsky, known for his work for a.o. The Samurai Of Prog.
Robert Webb wrote the lenghly liner-notes in which he explains the story behind the recording and this re-master/re-mix on which the tracks are placed in the played order.

Has anyone bought a download from Bandcamp? I'm wondering if it comes with the booklet in pdf or something? I listened to it a couple of weeks ago and it's a GREAT listen! Very enjoyable.

Arrived today from Germany (and, yes, shipping was stupid high, but I have no idea if an American distributor was going to pick it up).

Thus far: Sound quality is good; packaging is good; performance is good.

I'm happy with my purchase and look forward to digging in. (Picked up Last of the Jubblies, too.)

With all that said, however, I am surprised that this isn't on a label like Esoteric. Seems like a natural fit for both parties.

Interesting about this re-release (the Silver Edition) is that Robert Webb choose to change the bonus tracks from the original CD-release from 1995. Well, you can read that in the liner notes of course

  24. #74
^I did! I’ll probably download the bonuses I don’t have from their Bandcamp.
