Is there any instrumental only,Mellotron albums out there?

Looking for music that just has mellotron ,No other synths or keys
I doubt such thing exists. i just wanna hear that insturment played by anyone .
I just want raw mellotron ,As it so sparsely used on records it sounds majestic.

First thought was at least this one tune. Not a whole album, but hey.

I've actually wondered this myself. It kind of seems like there *should* be an example of this, especially given the instrument's original intended purpose as a kind of single-person home orchestra, complete with built-in automated accompaniment, but nothing comes to mind.

As ... have come up, the 2 albums by Celluloid are purported to be all mellotron. (I don't have them, so I can't confirm.)

I thought about doing it for fun. But, it's kind of low on the list tbh. If I did it I would include its cousins like the Chamberlin, Optigan and Orchestron. I still may at some point.

Also what would be fun would be someone doing classical tunes using Mellotron. You could actually do it yourself using classical midi files... endless fun.

I'm re-releasing my Mellotron sound library (Squids Tron and later called "SampleTron" by IK Multimedia) and there are quite a few others out there including one for the iPhone called Manetron I believe. Grab some midi files and have at it!

I'm a big Tron fan (and own one) but never heard about a 100% instrumental FULL ALBUM using ONLY the Tron as a sole instrument. Very likely some musician had this same idea and did it privately but it remains unknow to me. Nothing to be found from the good old days when the Tron was popular.

The closest I can find is Edgar Froese's solo Epsylon In Malaysian Pale (1975), an excellent instrumental album, but not 100% Mellotron.

However If you had asked for a 100% instrumental album using only the Fairlight CMI I would have recommended Erdenklang Computerakustische Klangsinfonie (by Hubert Bognermayr & Harald Zuschrader ), one of the VERY FEW interesting albums created and recorded only with this "instrument".

I'm a major tronaholic, and seek out prog that includes it chronically. As others have said, I know of no albums in any genre that is performed only on mellotron. But here are some close ones on Bandcamp:

    and a whole lot more:

Ah...I think I found what you are looking for...ALL mellotron: https://mikedickson.bandcamp.com/alb...lotronworks-ii

The first (and only) album by Spring (1971) is highly mellotron driven.
3 of the band members played the instrument.

Andy Thompson has a guide for top Mellotron albums. It's pretty definitive. The "T" rating is how much mellotron is on the album. The star rating is his opinion of the music (often times they go hand and hand).

I've heard some of the albums mentioned and they make me think that the Mellotron is better as a backing instrument than as a lead instrument.

Celluloid both albums. Just mellotron and prepared tapes. Mercury has also some synclavier in it.

I wouldn't necessarily call it prog, but for harpsichord there's always Harpsicorpse:
