    New From Starcastle

    News from a friend:

I'll never forget the time I saw Starcastle on stage at Rosfest 2007, when the cops had to be called - they came on stage, arrested a seriously stoned sound engineer, marched him off ... and the band didn't miss a beat. Just played on as if nothing had happened.

Startcastle has a new website (almost completed). See https://www.starcastlerocks.com/.

    More important -

They've completed an archive release for download.

It’s a collection of songs from the California period of Starcastle made up from studio demos, live shows and rehearsals.

Some are the original versions of six songs that ended up on Song of Times, abd a few tracks have never been released before.

I actually introduced Starcastle that year from the stage, and that's the first time we met, Duncan.

    I remember it well, Steve!

Wish I was traveling to Madison - we're way overdue for a drink or 3. (Traveling to Minneapolis these days...)

Very nice anecdote, gentlemen. Wish I could have been there.

Glad to see their still active. Song of Times is actually a really good album if you're into Starcastle.
Not enough new stuff on here for me to justify rebuying Song of Times but if you like Starcastle I highly recommend Song of Times and this archive material looks good.

I was there for the Starcastle show at Rosfest. Yes it did indeed get off to a very unique start. But the show went on. Starcastle were very good and I thought that Al Lewis was superb on vocals. I have always wondered why Yes has never recruited him.
