This news has be plastered all over Facebook. Getting lots of buzz... for good reason! I'm excited to hear the outcome of this.

It's exciting just to hear that Alex has a full-on project going (assuming that's what this is), beyond the guest appearances he's been making.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
Wow, Minneman seems to be doing something right (maybe) regarding keeping his music off the web, because I can't find ANYWHERE to hear that song "On That Note" that he and Lifeson wrote together - just a shortened clip which I want to avoid. You can't even buy the album in digital form from Amazon, only the CD. I'm not checking the evil iTunes empire.
Has anyone heard the album it's on, Borrego? If so, is the album good? Is the song good? I'd like to hear the song and the other two to which Lifeson contributed, but I don't really want to buy the CD based on a one-minute clip. And I'd really rather download than buy a CD.

Marco Minnemann is becoming the new Phil Collins of the 2010's, back in the mid-80's when Phil was recording and touring with Robert Plant, Genesis and solo! Phil was the only artist to play on both sides of the Atlantic for Live Aid in '85. He was unstoppable and sadly he now performs on a walker/chair, I wish Marco much better.
Marco auditioned for Dream Theater, played with Steven Wilson, UK, Joe Satriani and now his two current bands: In Continuum and The Sea Within.
How can this guy find the time? I'm sure he relies on the internet to exchange his drums parts with other great artist like Alex Lifeson, good for all of us!

Ooo I'm very, very interested! Big fan of these two. Minnemann blew my face off seeing him with Steven Wilson and I've always been a fan of Leifson.

I wonder how many people are going to be gutted when they find out that this project won't be sounding much like Rush. Wishful thinking to hope for a tour...
This is going to be awesome.
Me, for one! I haven't really enjoyed any non-Rush projects the guys have branched out on, except "Take Off (To the Great White North)". Definitely a "greater than the sum of its parts" band, and I accept that really.
But, I do think that if Alex and Geddy collaborated on something they could do something Rush-like and good, since they wrote most all of Rush's music. Maybe Geddy will guest on this project!
