    Holger Czukay, „Breath Taking“

A question for the assembled knowledge in this forum:
On the Holger Czukay box set „Cinema“, there is one previously unreleased song called „Breath Taking“. It apparently features a sample of Karlheinz Stockhausen.
Although it may be unreleased in that form, I am pretty sure that I have heard the backing track before, but I can‘t remember where. It was the same backing, including the synths, strings and handclaps, but without the female voice singing over it.
    Any ideas?

Pitchfork review says something about Boat Woman Song from Canaxis... I haven't heard the song from Cinema, but from your description, it's NOT from Canaxis. Can't find "Breath Taking" on Youtube (I did find disc one and two on there, but not disc five), or any samples on Amazon or AllMusic or anywhere else.

While we’re on the topic of Czukay, which of his solo or duo works are considered most essential? I have the Sylvian collaboration ‘Mute and Mutability’ but beyond that?

I have several of his solo albums and the two he did with Sylvian. I like both of those collaborations, and my favorite solo albums are (in descending preference) Movies, Der Osten Ist Rot, On the Way to the Peak of Normal, Rome Remains Rome, Canaxis and Good Morning Story. I've owned or heard most of the others, but there are a few I've never heard. I also have a lot of albums that feature guest appearances by him, and of course, all those Can albums.

You are right, boat Woman Song is quite different. Meanwhile I found a YouTube Video where „Breath Taking“ can be heard at the end: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cwPui2K5z6U

Listened to it, thanks for providing the link... not ringing any bells, but then that background music is rather generic...

Well, you could say so, but the combination of the handclaps with the Sound of someone exhaling loudly is pretty characteristic, and I am quite sure that I have heard it before, in combination with that specific synth sound and the strings.
