Forgas Band Phenomena "L'Oreille Electrique" - available now

The very excellent electric jazz septet Forgas Band Phenomena have released their new, sixth album, L'Oreille Électrique [The Electric Ear].

The line-up is very similar to the lineup they've featured for the past decade and last several albums, with just a couple of new folks added, including the legendary Gerard Prevost on bass!

    Patrick Forgas - drums
    Karolina Mlodecka - violin
    Pierre Schmidt - guitar
Sébastien Trognon - tenor, alto & soprano saxophones, flute
Dimitri Alexaline - trumpet, flugelhorn, trombone
    Gérard Prévost - bass
Igor Brover - piano, electric piano

The official release date is November 9, but you can buy it directly from us in physical form (CD) four weeks early or in full res digital form and even in hi-res digital form!

You can even hear a track from the record right here.

I probably also should mention that this is a pretty limited edition in physical format....

    1. You’re welcome. Sincerely so.

    2. Maybe you should complain about it not being on YouTube? And argue with me about it, until I decide I don’t want to anymore, no matter what is said?

That seems to be the most popular response.....

Damn you Steve the whole thing should be there for all of us staggeringly intelligent people to download/listen to and post on how we won't buy it if we can't.

Whew - I feel better now.

    Auto buy by the way.

All right! I really like the Forgas Band stuff, so this is excellent news. Even if it isn’t all on YouTube.

Excellent, always appreciate a release by an artist that you have not heard from in a while and didn't expect new material.

Lovely stuff. And as a bonus, my wife likes it too.

I think Patrick still actually has copies of his 1977 album "Cocktail". If anyone's interested, I can investigate that.

Missed this one in October, sorry. I do have "Cocktail" on vinyl. That was pre- Forgas Band Phenomena which has not released anything on vinyl.
