Far Corner "Risk" - available now

The very fine avant-progressive, chamber-rock quartet Far Corner have finally released their new, third album, Risk.

    The line-up as always is:
    William Kopecky – bass
    Dan Maske – keyboards
    Angela Schmidt – cello
    Craig Walkner – drums
    with
    Jerry Loughney – violin

The official release date is November 9, but you can buy it directly from us in physical form (CD) four weeks early or in full res digital form and even in hi-res digital form!

You can even hear a track from the record right here.

I probably also should mention that this is a pretty limited edition in physical format....

Wait, a new rehearsal intensive avant progressive chamber rock album from Cuneiform? Can I also expect a white and green paper catalogue in the mailbox again?

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

    Just ordered.

I still remember the wonderful triple bill I saw at Vnuk's Lounge in Cudahy, WI some years ago (Might Could, Far Corner & Von Frickle). My late costume crazy partner Kay was in a Marlene Dietrich tuxedo outfit with a Von Frickle mask on all night (great memories).

Far Corner is one of the best bands Wisconsin has ever produced.

That was a great night, and I was blown away by Far Corner, not having heard a note of their music before. We didn't know each other well, at the time, but this would change. I certainly do remember Kay's flamboyant outfit from that evening!

A few years ago, I read, and I still own Dan Maske's instructional book "Progressive Rock Keyboard." Naturally, my ears immediately perk up when I hear anything new from Far Corner.

The songs from “risk” on bandcamp are just great. My family and I were homeless and living in a tent a few years back, so cd purchases are to this day not a priority. I’ll ask my brother to order this cause I’ve gotta hear the whole thing!

    Jeez, man!

I'm hoping things are significantly better now.

were in subsidized(hud) housing with a fairly low rent payment each month. On the down side my wife, unbeknownst previously until she was hospitalized, suffered a heart attack. And the hits just keep on coming. Thanks for your thoughts, though, its appreciated!

Well, I just now texted my bro, and asked him to order this cd. Here’s hoping...

I hope I didn’t derail this thread with musings. The songs on bandcamp are amazing, and I’m confused why nobody is discussing them.
