"Yesterday and Today" A 50th Anniversary Tribute To YES!

Hello PE friends! I've been working like crazy on my solo live albums and my studio album with In Continuum (taking over from where I left off with Sound of Contact stylistically). But, also on the agenda are some very special tribute albums from a side project I started years ago called "Sonic Elements". The idea of it is to mix various artists of different generations together along with some of the members of the band we're paying tribute to and celebrate their music on CD! Sometimes there's a twist or more to it than that but this time that's exactly what we've done to celebrate 50 years of one of our all time favorite bands YES! Here's the info:

    Sonic Elements Presents:
Yesterday and Today, a tribute album to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the legendary prog rock band YES.

Gees Dave, I wish you'd quit making me spend all my money on your fantastic projects, I'd like to eat once in awhile, plus you're cutting into my weekly beer budget.

Am I right in presuming that that is the Mark Murdock who played in Peter Banks' Empire?

Yes that's him and my co-producer on this (long time collaborator Fernando Perdomo) just announced a new band and album with Mark called "The New Empire". The album was just released. I think you'd like it!

Well of course, all things in moderation, even music.
For instance I'll listen to half of New World Deluxe Edition and then put on Static or Sound of Contact.

And I've just bought the super Special Edition of Yesterday & Today, so it better be good. ;-)

Well, if you like this: https://soundcloud.com/davekerznerba...-promo-sampler then there's a good chance you'll like the rest! The bonus 12 songs have some cool things that didn't fit onto the CD. Hope you'll all like it! We had fun with it (although it was a LOT of work!!!!).

Here are the two bonus tracks you get for free when ordering either of the CD options. Or you can get them on their own. Higher priced because they're 24 bit/96k full resolution uncompressed wave or lossless FLAC. https://sonicelements.bandcamp.com/a...y-bonus-tracks

(These tracks are also streaming in full for free).

That's awesome! Thank you. Hope you'll like the new album from In Continuum as well!

Do you mean that you like the bonus material? This seems to be something that's been very popular. Some people want to hear more than just the covers. There are many ways to pay tribute to a band.

Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally

There's currently a CD version that comes with the hi resolution 24bit/96k download and that download will be available on its own for around $10 less (so it's a good deal getting it with the CD as a bundle). But, yes, the regular CD quality download will be available upon release without the extras. Just not as a pre-order.

Thanks! I've been working with Jon Davison on my new project called "In Continuum" which combines guys from Sound of Contact with musicians from Steven Wilson, Big Big Train and The Fringe... and special guests like Jon, Steve Hackett and Steve Rothery! http://www.incontinuumband.com But, I may do some more stuff with both Jon, Billy and Geoff (either separately or in combination with each other). Even if it's not technically called "Yes" it's still great to work with those guys. For the Deluxe Edition of the In Continuum album there's even a song I co-wrote with Jon Anderson!

Thanks Scott! This 12 minute teaser is probably all we will be hearing from it unless a single is released before November. Otherwise it'll be out then and can be heard in full! Two of the bonus tracks can be heard in full now though: https://sonicelements.bandcamp.com/m...-hi-res-24-96k

    Very cool, Dave. I'm in!

Cannot wait to hear In Continuum also.
