    Christine McVie has left us

Incredibly talented singer, player and writer Christine McVie, most notably of Fleetwood Mac, has died at 79. I love her voice and she wrote some of Mac's best songs.

RIP. She was always my favorite part of that band, both for singing and songwriting...

I just started 'remembering' how much I liked her voice, had added her solo album to my wishlist (I had it on LP long ago) , all due to the TV commercial use of 'Everywhere'

Wow. I always preferred her voice over Stevie's. RIP Christine.

I just today watched “Mick Fleetwood and Friends” recorded from PBS, a tribute to Peter Green in which Christine makes an appearance singing his “Stop Messin’ ‘ Round.”

Then I open my news feed and find this. RIP. Or, even better, reincarnate soon.

A very sad day. She was a wonderfully talented lady. My friend's adult son, who has two children 17 and 20, died today as well.

Agree with everything already said. I'll be listening to her FM albums for several days. RIP.

A true English Rose. She left us some beautiful music. This past summer I purchased the 1969-1974 box set and it was in my car player for weeks. Love her voice.

What a terrible loss. For whatever reason her songs always jumped out and got stuck in my brain, especially on those Bob Welch-era records. I don't know if it was the sound of her voice, her phrasing choices, her harmonic ideas, but whatever it was it clicked with me even at an early age when I didn't know squat about her or FM.

Oh, and she was the hot one IMO.
