Suggest Songs for my Favorite Soul Sub-Genre

I like everything Isaac Hayes did between 1969-72 or so. One great album after another. Hot Buttered Soul is a perennial fixture among my favourite albums of all time (as is Marvin Gaye's What's Going On). It seems like he was perhaps the first musician within soul music to really use the album's potential for creating a mood, rather than just being a bunch of songs.

Hot Buttered Soul is also one of my favs, great stuff.

Those Rhino collections back then were amazing...hardly any of them came out in the UK, though. And they would have been expensive!
