    Amazing to think that when Leo Sayer first came to my attention it was on the Old Grey Whistle Test - dressed as a clown singing The Dancer - he seemed to be heading in a similar direction to Cockney Rebel - the first album Silverbird was a stunner - the next few started to veer towards the more pop style he became famous for. Really good songwriter and singer.
