Nope, she managed to last about 3/4 of the set. She does like traditional jazz.

Darn it... I already have that one on CD too.

This reminds me, I really should go back and revisit Belle Illusion -- I got it along with a bunch of other CDs at the same time, and I think my all attention was taken up by the Homunculus Res disc.

Btw, Steve, last week I picked up the Glue Works album when it was on sale for $5. Had been curious about it for years, but too scared to bite the bullet. When it went on sale, there was simply no reason for me not to shell out. For the price of a morning latte (or less, probably), it was a bargain.

It certainly lasts longer than a latte; at least the way I suck them down.....

Been revisiting 'Ergo - if not inertia' a lot lately. An album I would probably never have bought if it weren't for those weekend deals.

I love that album! It takes me to some places I haven't been before.

It’s one more reason to look forward to Fridays now (aside from it being the start of the weekend). And I’ve gotten some great music out of it, so it’s not a bad deal at all.

Yeah, it's a great program I look forward to the email every week despite probably already having more than 50% of those listed.

This weekend's album is "We Are All Small Pixels" by Pixel.

P.S. - I am traveling some of next week so it is possible that I won't have time to set up a sale. If that's so, don't worry - we'll be back the following Friday.....

Same here, these always fall into one of two camps, things I already own, things I'm going to buy.

If Hopper Tunity Box didn't get at least one comment, I would have quietly wept.

That's what I'm finding to be the case for myself.

And Hopper Tunity Box is one I already have on CD, otherwise I'd be scarfing this one up too.

^ This is the sh*t! Just purchased it, and also Bandcamp recommended The Gift of Purpose [Hopper Family Benefit Album] which is also the sh*t, so I bought that too. Too much good music! I'm heading into the city tonight for a show - might have to just ride the subway a bit extra and absorb some of this amazing tunage...

I've always found that Krakatoa album's title to be an amusing play on the Kraftwerk song lyric I had to give it a try.

It made for good company for a Friday morning commute!

I am loving this one. Very tunefull, great variety and very 'fresh' sounding.

Did not know these guys so thanks for bringing it out of obscurity!

Kraktoa were a very fine little band. I think they were sorta falling apart by the time we did their album, because they didn't last that much longer after that, but for the several years I knew of them via carrying their albums in Wayside and talking to them about doing the next one and actually doing their next one, I got to see them a bunch of times and they were always pretty damn great.

A very memorable show at Orion opening for Birdsongs Of The Mesozoic comes to mind.

One of my very fave 'nowadays' Cuneis.

If anything should be stated about ol' (potentially always angry) uncle Steve, it would be his intense interest in and presentation of all "newness" presenting itself in *viable* rock/jazz/progressive music. There are some truly incredible discoveries and fresh recognitions to be made.

    Always!

And except for that, I love cleavage!

Thank you for the nice words, Richard.

Now, [potentially always angry] Uncle Steve is trying to keep his toe in the water and have a little bit of fun while doing so.

We'll see what that actually means. I actually have no idea at this point!
