Speaking of suspending belief, Godzilla- King of the Monsters: A gigantic over-the-top silly mess, let's get that straight. With that said, I fucking loved it!

    8.5 out of 10 warm & fuzzy nostalgic 4 O'clock Movie Memories.

I have a question: does this film have a sense of humor? I haven't seen it, mainly because I've watched too many relatively recent kaiju pictures that seem to be taking themselves way too seriously.

It does have a sense of humor. The tone is a lot less serious than the Gareth Edwards movie from 2014 (which I also loved, for different reasons). It knows how ridiculous it is, and revels in it even.

Did it scratch that 'monster destroying shit' itch that we get?

    Oh yeah, it does.

They made King Ghidorah freaking scary too. His big reveal is great.

Without a doubt Bro! I think you'd find this a fun, nostalgic ride. Break out the popcorn and Keystone Lites and let it fly!

That was the other thing I was curious about too, seeing King Ghidorah in the trailer and thinking, "He looks almost as good as he did in 1966".

(Seriously, I think King Ghidorah represented one of the high watermarks of pre-CGI special effects)

Does anyone else find it annoying that when you finish a movie/show on Netflix that the end credits are cut off?

We are taking my dad to see the new Apocalypse Now Final Cut in IMAX this afternoon. It has always been one of his favorite movies and it is years since I have seen it.

That drives me insane. I'm always racing to the remote to try and beat the 5 seconds it gives you and either wind up knocking something over or pushing a button that fucks everything up

^^^ Yes it does, but I wish these trailers wouldn't show so much of the story.

They have to, because the lazy, instant-gratification-crippled public, where all the money comes from, is not interested in using their imagination or staying curious. So they have to gear the trailers to almost tell the whole story so people can make up their mind about whether they'll like something before it even comes out.

That trailer (Motherless Brooklyn) makes me very nervous, because it was an excellent and very interior book.

written/directed by Vince Gilligan. That alone gets my seal of approval.
