    Fred Chalenor RIP

    Fred Chalenor - After enduring advanced Alzheimer's for many years, passed away yesterday
    Fred was a truly gifted musician and a fantastic bass player ,composer producer. One of the most prolific indie/avant-garde and jazz musicians from the Pacific Northwest .Fred has been active Since the late 70s years involved in a variety of projects,
    From his duo with Amy Denio, their much acclaimed grammy award pop group The Tone Dogs,his on going collaboration with Wayne Horowitz ,Pipgen & Zony Mash, his stint with the wonderful Curlew, Boodlers ( with Elliot Sharp) ,Slow Music (improvisation project with Bill Rieflin, Robert Fripp ,Matt Chamberlain and REM guitarist Peter Buck were involved) ,His experimental trio Face Ditch (with Henry Franzoni )
    And of course finally his own wonderful bands Caveman Shoestore , and their sublime collaboration with the late Hugh Hopper Hughscore
    An unsung hero
