Mexico's Descartes A Kant on tour

Thanks to my old pal, Bryan Swirsky, I was hipped to and able to see Descartes A Kants debut US show on their current tour last night.

They were very theatrical, very art-rock / art-punk, very clever and very funny.

Maybe if 70s Sparks were fronted by women, instead of the Mael brothers WITH Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, much more cabaret-stuff, and some general psycho-drama mixed on top?

You can hear their latest here on BandCamp:

And you can see them on the rest of their tour, which is why I wanted to post in the first place:

    Thursday 21 June 2018
    Descartes A Kant
    Knitting Factory, Brooklyn, NY, US

    Saturday 23 June 2018
    Descartes A Kant
    with Felipe Pupo
Get Hip Recordings HQ, Pittsburgh, PA, US

    Wednesday 27 June 2018
    Descartes A Kant
Grog Shop, Cleveland Heights, OH, US

    Thursday 28 June 2018
    Descartes A Kant

If this sounds like fun, it really is!!

Wow, the featured song on Bandcamp has quite the memorable title

Fun stuff! Enjoying the tracks on BC...would love to make the show although that would be a tricky date to hit Baltimore.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

John - IF you decide to go, I can assure you that you will love the performance. It doesn't mean you will want to own a recording (although you might), but you will LOVE the performance. It was a hoot and a holler!!

    Good shtuff - I like!

Steve - I am assuming these guys must have gotten a bit "political" during the show?
If it isn't Krautrock, it's krap.

One or two jokes. And it was their 1st night of the tour and it was DC.

That’s all. Not very political at all. Just a bit wild.
