    * Of the violinists that have played w/McLaughlin, I know a lot of people prefer either Goodman or Ponty. And I used to, also, and that's having heard Shankar in Shakti. But after hearing him in the One Truth Band on Johnny Mac's Montreaux Concerts box set... well, imo, Shankar's The Man.

    I didn't understand this sentence, at first. And then it hit me. Dark was a band founded by Mark Nauseef, wasn't it? I used to have this album or the next one, Tamna Voda, that had Shankar and David Torn on it.

    There is a self titled Glimpse CD. Re-issued on a 2-fer w/ Bad Habits Die Hard. Or you can buy a used copy of the oop CD. IMO, the material is a bit stronger than Kathak.
