New young vocalist Annie Barbazza covers prog classics

I just discovered this young (24 years old) singer out of Italy that is tackling some prog classics. Havent been able to find too much else about her, but she seemingly came on the scene when performing as a special guest with Greg Lake at his "Live In Piacenza" performance/release and has subsequently opened for Carl Palmer. She has a couple albums out now where she is performing some prog classics:

Both of her albums are on Bandcamp: https://darkcompanionrecords.bandcam...ies-playlist-2 and https://darkcompanionrecords.bandcam...nnies-playlist

    Her Yes medley:

    Her Tull medley:

She also has an album out on Manticore where she covers Greg Lake songs from Crimson and ELP - an album that was originally supposed to be Greg himself reinterpreting his songs (https://www.manticorerecords.com/bar...etti-moonchild)

Very interesting! She has a great voice, and does some interesting medleys. I may well buy these from Bandcamp.

    Thanks for the heads up!

She also has an Album out with stuff from Greg Lake (with Max Repetti - "Moonchild"). Actually this should have been an album by Lake himself but he wasn't able to do it anymore so he asked her to take his place.

It started as Greg only with acc . Guitar (ELP, King Crimson etc.), Greg added Max on Piano then.

Annie has a new solo album out. This is a track from it featuring Daniel Lanois:

The whole album is on Bandcamp: https://darkcompanionrecords.bandcamp.com/album/vive

I have heared it two more times now and its growing on me still.

I do feel the album needs a bit more variation in mood and pace but for the rest I think: A new progressive rock star has stepped up.
It will be very interesting to see how she develops over the coming years.

She's on the North Sea Radio Orchestra album of Robert Wyatt's Rock Bottom called Foley Bololey, and performed it live with them (& John Greaves) at the last RIO.
