I've now consumed the last three albums from Elder and am really digging them. I see that they are coming here in October, I'll definitely get tickets for that.

I sampled the latest by Colour Haze but passed on it. Something about the vocals...

I was sampling that one last night. I loved the first tune but as I went on, something about the vocals was throwing me. I'll have to revisit before pulling the trigger.

Yeah, I'm with you. The first tune is a killer, the vocals are a bit of a buzz kill.

I'm finding myself to be a lot more selective in my purchases.

It acquired cult status over the years. Upon release they were more or less considered Kyuss clones... Still, it came from a period where stoner sounded generally fresh.

ELDER surpassed themselves on this one, going progier than ever in a world of their own. On the annual top 10 definitively.

This is getting more brilliant and brilliant with every listen. It's epic stuff, music to move mountains.

More Psychedelic Doom than Stoner and a ridiculous name, but I'm digging the music:

Forgive me if you will on my diversion into the Doom realm, but I've been on a binge the past couple of days. I think a lot of you might dig this too:

The new Sasquatch is pretty good but maybe not as GREAT as their previous four albums. A few songs have subtle vintage keys (Hammond, etc.) used as "coloring", a new touch for them. New drummer on this one, too. Recommended!

^ I think it's somewhat better, but I haven't heard the others in a while.
