Big fan. Saw them when they toured with Black Angels. I've got them in my "New Psychedelic" playlist.

I just got the same email. I'm pretty spent out, but 15% is a pretty decent sale from ATIH. The question is: what to get??!!

By the way, it's nice to see so many of you are Black Mountain fans. Nice to know I'm still in the right thread.

I posted Craang a few pages back. I really enjoy that album and look forward to more material.

rcarlberg: Is there anything sadder than a song that has never been played?
Plasmatopia: Maybe a song in D minor that has never been played?

bob_32_116: That would be a terrific triple bill: Cyan, Magenta and Yello.

trurl: The Odyssey: "He's trying to get home."

I don't know 90% of the bands in this thread at all, but I just popped in to say that

    BLACK MOUNTAIN IS AWESOME!

I remember when you told me you'd pick up Wilderness Heart because you'd heard the name bandied about on this site. You seemed a little apprehensive but open. Glad to see it has sunk in. They've been too long without releasing new music.

You may want to check out Sleepy Sun, who remind me of Black Mountain:

Sleepy Sun are more of a Neopsyche band than a stoner band but I was responding to the geezer's post.

70's-sounding hard rock with a singer reminiscent of Paul Stanley...

Wow. Play this for Gruno or Guitargeek, they'd piss themselves in delight.

I will agree, and I recommend to have a listen to Austria's PATERNOSTER debut album. It has exactly the same feel you describe, with the slow, sludgy, dark and depressive element amplified to the max.
Paternoster is a great album! Love there dark erie organ sound!
