Like they wouldn't go crazy for something like Van Halen singing Runnin' With the Devil, just to name one pop metal song that's about satan...

Saw those guys tour with Opeth and Mastodon. Fun was had by all.

Just listened through to the new Ghost album and I'll say it again...aside from the Satan shtick they are Blue Oyster Cult reincarnated.

Agree, there is a definite Blue Oyster Cult influence in their sound, and to some extent lyrics.

Now if one of the nameless ghouls could just play like Buck Dharma
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

I love the song Rats, but the second song from Prequelle, Dance Macabre, has too much of a disco sound. Not so good. Does anyone know who any of the people shown in the official video for the song are?

    Just heard 'Rats'. Sounds good.

The musicians magazine I read had an interview with Ghost. No questions allowed on the legal troubles with the nameless ghouls.

"Dance Macabre" is kind of like Steven Wilson's "Permenating". A blatant attempt at a commercial single. It kind of grows on me with repeated listens.

Are there any tunes comparable to Rats?

I pre-ordered the new album, but it has not arrived yet. The only two songs I have heard off it so far are Rats and Dance Macabre.

I'd love to know if Cardinal Copia is dancing at all when singing Rats! Hoping for a live DVD or BD after this tour.

The closing riff in that 'Rats' tune has me coming back to this song almost daily. Hard to get this one out of may head!

Yes they remind me of BOC but also ABBA in a really good way. Must be a Swedish thing!

Apparently a fan collapsed and died during a Ghost show in Milwaukee last night. The band stopped and then cancelled the rest of the show. Here is an article on what happened: https://www.loudersound.com/news/fan...g-in-milwaukee

Kind of an interesting commentary about Forge and the lawsuit.

Wow. If I were to die at a concert, I'd be honored if they kept playing. Hell, they could tape drum sticks to my hands and do a 'Weekend At Bernie's', for all I care. Why punish the rest of the crowd.

    Just sayin', and RIP.

Looks like the fanclub has raised a bunch of money for the guy's family: https://www.loudersound.com/news/gho...o-died-at-show

Been listening to the new album. Starts off with a bang and I really like the first 5 tunes. Not a lot of heavy on this one which is a bit disappointing to me, but there is some nice music all around. Not enough "rrrrrrats" in my opinion.

    I love this instrumental...
