Phideaux New Album Infernal to be Released this Summer!

    In Phideaux's own words-

"greetings my friends. Although I had to leave the world for awhile, my cold asteroid became too lonely, so I am back. I have news of my new album Infernal, which will arrive late July/earlly August. I'm very happy to finally have it done - although I have to say the slow nature off finishing it allowed me to examine many possibilities and fix problems I didn't perceive initially.

In truth, between work requirements and inability to get time with my engineer, it has been difficult to find the time to finish. But, now it's done - being mastered now, artwork ready for printing.

Double LP - clear red vinyl
Double CD - mini LP format sleeve

    I hope everyone enjoys it.

Meanwhile there is an EP coming out late May with one or two songs from the album, plus some other unreleased things and alternate versions of tracks from the album.

Thanks for you interest and support. I promise you'll hear more from me sooner than you think.

    Much love
    Phideaux"

Excellent news although you could have used the thread I started in 2013 when the release of Infernal was first announced (just kidding ! )

I hate to have this attitude, but...At this point, I'll believe it when I'm holding it in my hands.

Yeah this one does seem to have a Peter Gabriel vibe going on

Well, not really. It's done and being mastered as we speak - that's a pretty solid update... PG hasn't made it that far in over fifteen years.

    Very cool.

How long has it been since his last album?

Excellent news! Auto-buy in both formats.

I was introduced to your music through these pages IIRC and I continue to be dismayed at an utter lack of reasonably priced physical product out there. While we're up, how about a comprehensive reissue campaign?

Excellent news/bad news situation. Excellent news that a new Phideaux album is coming out. Bad news it comes out during a time of year when it's too hot where I live to have vinyl shipped.

Finally! Xavier is an excellent, essential prog musician, and his band backs him up beautifully. I'm confident that Infernal will be in my top 10 list of prog for 2018.

So happy to hear that Infernal is due to release this fall

I hope also for a (maybe remastered) CD re-release of his previous albums, especially Doomsday Afternoon. I want to have that album on CD
A Trilogy CD collection of The Great Leap, Doomsday Afternoon and Infernal would be awesome
+ a live performance of the whole Trilogy (especially Doomsday Afternoon and Infernal) filmed on DVD! That would make my year (musically) complete.
