^^ Ha, ha! Isn't this the one with that unforgettable line "There's nothing like a Mississippi hippie on a Saturday night" on it? I believe Psycho Records reissued it sometime in the late 90s (along with Hunger, Music Emporium, Mighty Baby and a handful of others). Priceless...

You do know the whole Father Yod/The Source Family Hippy cult story, don't you? If not, Google it. Too much to write about here, but it's fascinating stuff. Especially if you find the whole Age Of Aquarius stuff interesting.

Yes indeed. I have the Psyco vinyl re-issue. Mississippi Hippy is a noted track, although for me "State of Mind" is the stand out. I believe the band were from Memphis Tennessee although I've seen the claim that they wee from Tupelo Mississippi.

THIS is a great album start to finish and deserves much more recognition IMO a minor classic. I would call it proto-prog. I've been a fan of this one for a long time and have a pristine copy of the original vinyl as well as the CD re-issue. Anyone else love this one?

What a vibe. I'm sort of bewildered at the amount of hip bands/artists/music here of stuff I have never heard of. Its like some alternate universe with an alternate array of music. This is totally great. The organ just slays on this.
