Ooo, forgot to add (before the thread gets shut down) Maddy Prior.
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

    Annie Halsam
    Kate Bush
    Laurie Anderson
    Tarja Turunen

Enya (shut up, she is prog)

I was actually going to add her to my list after Maire Brennan (her sister) but thought there might be an uproar.

But I do agree with you.

Again, not proggy-prog; more like some terra incognita halfway between indie rock and big band jazz. But if musical terra incognita isn't progressive, what is?

Wendy Carlos is a real hero for me. Brave and brilliant. Her boxed set, which is probably out of print, is full of interesting and amusing reading.

Since it was already posted in the other thread, it’s only right to repost the rare live video of Rosalia here:

I have that boxed set and played it this week. So sad her work seems to be out of print.

My all-time favorite female progger: the multi-talented Jennifer Meeks Weich (vocals, flute, keys, percussion)
(Full disclosure: she's a very dear friend and I have been in several bands with her, but I don't think she's ever gotten the recognition she deserves.)
