    RIP Johann Johannsson

Kind of a big deal for me. He did quite a bit of soundtrack work, as well as some lovely albums like Fordlandia and Orpheus.

Was lucky enough to see him at Big Ears last year. Very sad that he has passed.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Terribly sad. No more great music from the Icelandic master. Fordlândia and The Miners' Hymns are especially good.

Seconded. "The Cause of Labour Is the Hope of the World" is a terrifically uplifting tune, and the rest of The Miners' Hymns is great too. Fordlandia has a lot of that same simple emotional grandeur and Englabörn is very good in a different, more low-key way.

    A great loss. RIP.

+1 to all the music noted above. I also loved the music from Arrival and had hopes that someday his unused score to Blade Runner 2049 would be released.

Viròulegu forsetar, Dis and Englabön are wonderful, and of course Arrival. Big loss. Only 48. Wonder what the COD will turn out to be?
