Too many to remember. The longest gap between shows would be It's a Beautiful Day - 1969 and 2007.

I've seen Jethro Tull/Ian Anderson about that many times. For Yes it's been about 13 shows, including ABWH twice.

    .
That's quite a list, several of those are bucket list bands for me and most will remain that way unfortunately.

My concert attendance has dropped significantly in the last ten years or so, but here a some.

    Rush 10x
    Grateful Dead 5x
    Yes 3x
    Kansas 2x
    Styx 2x
    Dream Theater 2x

    Damn that's a short list, I suck.

Yes - Madison Square Garden, New York City (1978 - mezzanine, 1979 - front row, 1980 - fourteenth row) and in the middle of a street in Orlando, FL (2011)

The Orlando concert was free. Perhaps the only free concert they have ever done.

Yes is the only band I have seen more than once.

    Grateful Dead: (1990 and 1991)

Gong: (I saw them at least six times, including the Gong Uncon in 2006)

Steve Hillage: (2006 and whichever year it was he and Gong played at NEARfest)

Van Der Graaf Generator (second ever US gig, at NEARfest, then again a week later in Cleveland)

    Magma: (1999, 2003, 2008?, 2010, 2015, twice in 2016)

Marilion: (I think I saw them four times, first time in 1990, twice in the mid/late 90s, then they saw that first US tour they did after a long gap, in like, what? 2004)

Steve Hackett: (2002, 2003, 2010, and most recently just a couple years ago)

Hawkwind (1990, 1991, 1995, 1997, and whichever year it was they played at NEARfest)

Nektar (2002, 2004, and twice more after that, but I can't remember the exact years)

Allman Brothers Band (1993, 1996, twice in 1997, twice in 1998, 2000, twice in 2001, and I there were a couple more after that, but I can't remember the exact years)

    King Crimson (1995, 2000, four times in 2001, 2014, and 2017)

    The Who (1989, 1996, 2000, and 2002)

    Kiss (twice in 1996, 1998, and 2000)

Banco Del Muteo Succorso (both times they played NEARfest)

PFM (both times they played NEARfest)

    ELP (1996 and 1997)

Allan Holdsworth (1992, twice in 2003, and whichever year it was he played at NEARfest)

Negativland (1992, and 2000, I believe was the second one)

    Deep Purple (2002, and 2017)

Scorpions (2002, and I sorta saw them sometime around 2010 or so...there's a small parking lot that overlooks one of the concert venues in Cleveland)

California Guitar Trio (1995, 2001, and I've seen them at least twice since then)

Rik Emmett (played two shows in one night, back in 2007, I think)

Pat Metheny (the first time was not he Speaking Of Now tour, which I think was something like 2003, then he came with his trio with Christian McBride and Antonio Sanchez and played Severance Hall a year two later, then I went up to see him in Detroit at the Fox Theater on The Way Up tour, and I saw him the fourth time last summer, within walking distance of my house)

Zappa Plays Zappa (I saw them in 2007 or 2008, I think, again within walking distance of my house, then I tihnk the second time I saw them was 2010 or 2011)

The Muffins (I saw them at NEARfest, in what? 2005? Then I think the second time was 2009, then I think the third time I saw them was 2010...in fact, it had to be 2010, because it was the year I somehow got drafted into being on the ProgDay stage crew)

Ozric Tentacles (twice in 1996, again in 1999, then 2000, I think 2001 as well, then I think I saw them at least twice at the Beachland Ballroom, and I saw them at both NEARfest and Progday)

Nik Turner (1994, 1995, 1996 or 97, then at least twice since the turn of the century, like 2004 or 2005?)

Harvey Bainbridge (I seen him three at least, at the last Strange Daze fest, once at the Phantasy Nite Club, once at the Grog Shop)

Alien Planetscapes (1996, I think, then again in 1998, 2000, and the last time was at the last Strange Daze)

Quarkspace (saw them on a few different instances, circa 1996-2003, or so)

And the one most of you have probably never heard of: Oroboros. They were essentially a local hippie band here in Cleveland, but they made I think four or five albums (I only ever had the first three) and ended up playing shows out on the west coast, and I have a vague memory of hearing of them playing in some place exotic, like Thailand or something similarly improbable. They were basically a "jam band" back in the 1980's and early 90's, before it was fashionable. They played all ages shows at a bar around the corner from my house, a couple times at Cain Park, I saw them at the amphitheater at the Cleveland Zoo one time, and a few other venues, I think altogether I saw them like 13 times circa 1988-1994).

PS: I left out bands who I was working for, like Syzygy or Rare Blend. Does it count when you're running the merchandise table (albeit without pay)?

  21. #21
OH yeah, and I've seen The Musical Box a bunch of times, going back to 2003. I've seen most of their shows in Cleveland, as well as their NEARfest performance. I've seen The Lamb show twice, the Trick show once, and I think I saw the Selling England show three or four times.

I saw Oroboros dozens of times, possibly more than a hundred. We were regulars at the Euclid Tavern, but saw them many other places too. I don't remember seeing you, Chris. Oh well. In a similar vein, also got on the Ekoostik Hookah bus early, and saw them many times. Most of these were in the 90s and very early 2000s.
