I wasn't a big fan of its work, but I respect its influence on the androgynous children's toy market.

Latter day is of course as at all times, a relative term. Latter day for me could easily qualify as old for many another.
Perhaps finding the happy medium is harder than we know.
Saw something once about how gigantic the Teletubbies were in real life - some 7-to-10 feet tall. Partly to disguise that, those rabbits were Flemish Giants, the largest available breed - they're about the size of a dog. And since they tended to engage in various activities that rabbits engage in, many scenes needed retakes.
