Soul Enema - Of Clans and Clones and Clowns

Nothing is too serious about this intimidating band of dorks. There's no comforting band name, album name, album sleeve, etc:

However, is it a total joke at our expense? Maybe yes. Maybe no.
Here's a video for a lengthily proggy cut, dedicated to the former Aral Sea, now known as Aralkum Desert. Bio-weapon facility free entrance included. As George Carlin once put it: "The Planet is Fine. The People are Fucked!"

Not sure if you are with the band, but I found this on Progstreaming a few weeks/months ago and have been enjoying it quite a bit. It entertains easily, but remains complex also.

Thanks, doh. I guess these two are indeed more into the "entertainment" category of sorts.

Yes, entertaining. Overall, reminds me musically a little of Seven Steps From The Green Door, but a lot quirkier. Your Jibber And Twitch influences are noted.

It does look like you are with the band. What is your role? I'm going to order the CD from your bandcamp (next month after I return from CTTE).

Thanks again, doh, great to know! It's definitely a strange beast, this whole album. Like, part tragic, part comic - it's end to end stuff emotionally, with everything in between, kinda like in the real life. Each next track is different, like another blend of colors in kaleidoscope. That's why it's jokingly self-referenced as: "from ABBA to Zappa, from King Crimson to King Diamond". It also goes a bit beyond, with some ethnic music influences from the East and the West, and maybe even Africa. The "Jibber And Twitch" influences are on a greater scale, not so very literal. Tim is a great role model for creating your own worlds, and generally going against the grain (like, prog AND punk? what the hell with you, good lad?), while brilliantly keeping your own very distinct type of thing.
As for your question, my role there is to write the tunes and to press the keys. So, if there's problems with them tunes - you can blame me, i'm a scapegoat, thank you very much.

Resurrecting this thread since I am really enjoying it (already bought it). They are the kind of band where if someone asked me what they sound like, I would have to give them 4-5 different favorite songs that don't sound anything like each other. Besides the ones posted above, other highlights include Dear Bollock and Eternal Child.
